Quarterly Report-04: Addressing Hunger Among Bangladesh's Elderly (64460)
Global Community Organization’s Project 64460, which started on January 1, 2025, aims to improve food security, health and social protection of the elderly in Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi. The project aims to ensure a dignified and sustainable life for the elderly and create a lasting positive impact on the local social infrastructure. During this quarter, the project has focused on basic activities. A detailed introductory meeting has been held with the local administration to ensure transparency and cooperation among all stakeholders. Work is underway to develop a database application to monitor the socio-economic and health status of the elderly. From our initiatives, 31 beneficiaries have benefited, including 5 who are senior citizens. In addition, the project is a key step in the upcoming full implementation phase, which is preparing to provide training to field-level TYAGI volunteers and staff. These basic steps are crucial for the long-term success and sustainability of the project.
